Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to basic and specific questions about Fritztile floor tile and flooring products:

In a high-traffic area can three coats or more of sealer/finish be applied?

Yes you can apply more coatings. We recommend that new installations receive 2 coatings of sealer FCP-102) and 2 coatings of sealer/finish (FCP-300) before the floor is placed into service. Only apply sealer (FCP-102) on new installations, it is not recommended for renovation or rejuvenation of existing Fritztile installations.

Do not apply more than 4 coats of sealer/finish (FCP-300) or any other acrylic floor shine product in one day. 4 coats need at minimum a week to 10 days cure time before you can apply 4 additional coats or low speed buffing.

High traffic areas are easier to keep shiny with a base of 8 coats by simply touching up the areas that dull quickly rather than the entire installation.

You should wait at least 3 weeks after the final coat has been applied for high speed burnishing.
