Fritz P-100 Primer is a high-strength acrylic polymer specifically designed to be used as a primer for Fritz F-10 Self-leveling Underlayment, Poz-Patch I and Poz Patch II. It can also be used as an admixture to increase the flexural strength of F-10 over wood and steel decks. Extremely durable, P-100 exhibits excellent adhesion to a variety of porous surfaces and can also be used on substrates such as masonry, brick, ceramic tile and quarry tile.

Surface Preparation

The substrate surface must be sound, thoroughly clean and free of wax, dust, dirt, oil and grease. Note that bond strength will be only as strong as the adhesion of the sealer, adhesive or residue to the substrate. This means that P-100will bond with agents present on top of the substrate surface instead of with the actual substrate if the surface is not properly cleaned before application. P-100 can not repair unfit substrates.

Surface Types & Limitations

• Steel Surfaces
• Special Surfaces: Slick surfaces such as ceramic tile or terrazzo should be primed with Fritz P-100 Primer diluted at a ration of 1 gallon of primer to 1/2 gallon of clean water.

Mixing & Application

Shake well. Dilute P-100 with an equal part of clean water in a separate bucket or container. Using a broom or hand brush, apply P-100 to a properly prepared substrate. Allow to dry 1 hour, but no longer than 12 hours.

P-100 as an Admixture

To use P-100 as an admixture for F-10 Self-Leveling Underlayment, add 1/2 gallon P-100 concentrate to 1 gallon of plain water and mix thoroughly. Under agitation, add 1 bag of F-10. Mix well for 2-3 minutes.

Coverage

250 square feet per diluted gallon.

Note

Fritz P-100 Acrylic Primer is sediment-free and stable to a minimum of five cycles of freezing at 5°F to 78°F. After prolonged storage, especially in cold weather, the emulsion should be stirred.

Shelf Life & Warranty

Fritz P-100 Acrylic Primer has a shelf life of one year in an unopened container. Avoid freezing conditions and excessive heat. Manufacturer's warranty is limited to replacement of defective material.
